Here’s the thing about Villa Stan’s location — it’s positioned just right. You’re close enough to Kamala Beach that you can easily walk there (maybe 10 minutes at a leisurely pace), but far enough up the hillside that you escape the noise and crowds. I mean, Kamala isn’t as crazy as Patong anyway, but this spot gives you the best of both worlds. The road can be a bit steep if you’re walking, but honestly, most guests I chatted with were renting scooters or using the hotel’s recommendations for local transport.

The room I stayed in was spacious — actually more like a suite than a standard hotel room. What really impressed me was the attention to detail in the furnishings and the way they’ve designed the space to feel like you’re staying in someone’s well-appointed home rather than a generic hotel. The air conditioning works perfectly (crucial in Thailand’s heat), and there are plenty of power outlets, which sounds minor but you’ll appreciate it when you’re charging multiple devices. The bathroom was modern and well-maintained, though I’d say it’s comfortable rather than fancy.

Activities and Relaxation

Villa Stan really shines when it comes to activities — they’ve got a hot tub that’s perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring, and the staff can arrange fishing trips if that’s your thing. The diving opportunities around Kamala are actually quite good, and the hotel works with reliable local operators. What I loved most was just how peaceful the whole property feels. There’s something about the way it’s designed that makes you want to slow down and actually relax, rather than rushing around trying to see everything.

Why Couples Love It

I can totally see why this place gets such high marks from couples — it has that intimate, private villa vibe that’s perfect for a romantic getaway. The setting feels secluded without being isolated, and there’s enough space that you’re not constantly bumping into other guests. The staff strikes just the right balance too — helpful when you need them, but they give you plenty of privacy. Plus, with Kamala Beach being one of the more laid-back areas in Phuket, you get that tropical paradise feeling without the spring break atmosphere you’ll find in some other parts of the island.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Phuket at least three months ahead for major events like Loy Krathong and New Year celebrations, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular beaches and attractions.

  I stayed here in December just me and my partner, a friend joined us for a couple of days. The villa was absolutely beautiful. We loved the maid “ay” she was the sweetest person and nothing wasn’t enough.

  Its a beautiful Place and very clean Villa . The host is really helpful and the maid is excellent in keeping the place clean . Cabs and food deliveries can easily find the place. The 3rd floor has its own attached bar, pool table , Gym and Sauna – which is good so we had our common areas to hang out – without any of the room becoming messy .
