The name sounds sort of corporate with that “SHA Extra Plus” bit, but honestly, once you’re there, it feels nothing like a chain hotel. I mean, this is a four-star place that actually punches above its weight – and I’m saying that as someone who’s stayed at plenty of overpriced resorts that promise the world and deliver lukewarm everything.

The villa setup is what really makes this place work. Instead of being crammed into some generic hotel corridor, you get your own space with enough room to actually spread out your stuff without tripping over your suitcase every five minutes. The pools – because there are multiple ones scattered around – have this almost private feel even when other guests are around. I spent way too much time floating around in the late afternoon when the light hits the water just right. The staff genuinely seems to remember your name after day one, which is rarer than it should be these days. They’re not hovering, but when you need something sorted out, they’re on it. I had an issue with the air conditioning remote (classic travel problem, right?) and someone was at my door within ten minutes with a replacement and a quick explanation of all the settings.

What I really appreciate is how quiet it gets here, especially in the evenings. You’re not dealing with pool parties going until 2 AM or people slamming doors in hallways above your head. The villas are spaced out enough that you can actually have a conversation on your terrace without broadcasting it to everyone. The breakfast situation is solid too – they’ve got the usual international stuff, but also some local dishes that are actually worth trying instead of just sitting there looking decorative. I’m usually skeptical of hotel food, but their fruit selection was ridiculously fresh, and the coffee was strong enough to handle whatever travel fatigue you’re working through. The grounds are well-maintained without feeling overly manicured – there’s still some personality to the landscaping. Walking around after dinner became part of my routine because the lighting is subtle and the whole place has this relaxed vibe that makes you slow down a bit. If you’re looking for non-stop action and entertainment programs, this probably isn’t your spot, but if you want somewhere to decompress with good service and actual privacy, Himmapana Villas delivers on that promise.

  The location of the villa was great. The villa was exceptionally clean at all times. Check in and check out was smooth. Bonus was having an in house masseuse and available at our convenience. The only comment I would make is that the room service was a bit slow. The staff were great overall.

  One of the most beautiful villas in Phuket, the pool is clean, the service is excellent, the location of the villa is excellent, the hotel provides a car to take you to Kamala for free, breakfast is available upon request the day before and a small fee is charged per person, it was a pleasant stay with the family

  Your property is well decorated and presents beautifully. It was sparkling clean and the layout both inside and outside is perfect. The pool is the best temperature for your climate. We loved the waterfall, outdoor shower, swing, and ability to access the pool various ways.
