The check-in process was refreshingly smooth (no standing around for twenty minutes while they “find your reservation”), and the front desk team actually remembered my name by day two, which honestly doesn’t happen much anymore. The rooms have this comfortable, lived-in quality without feeling worn down, if that makes sense. Good lighting for actually reading, outlets where you need them, and – this might sound silly – but the shower pressure was fantastic. You’d be surprised how many supposedly nice hotels completely blow this basic requirement.

I spent quite a bit of time in the common areas, and there’s something about the atmosphere that just works. It attracts interesting people without trying too hard to be trendy or Instagram-perfect. The kind of place where you might end up having a great conversation with someone at breakfast, or find a quiet corner to actually get some work done if you need to. Speaking of breakfast – well, let’s just say I’m usually a grab-coffee-and-go person, but I found myself lingering over their morning spread more than once. The whole operation feels professionally run without being stuffy, which is honestly a harder balance to strike than most people realize. With a 9.2 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who noticed they’re doing something right here. It’s the sort of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special, even though you probably just got lucky with your booking.
