When I first pulled up to Himmapana Villas – SHA Extra Plus, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the outside — it’s tucked away on Bang Hwan Road in a quieter part of Kamala Beach. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t need to show off from the street. This four-star property has that understated elegance thing down perfectly, and the fact that there’s parking right on site is already a win in my book — trust me, you’ll appreciate not having to hunt for a spot in Thailand.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s the thing about Kamala Beach that most people don’t realize until they get there — it’s got this perfect sweet spot vibe between the chaos of Patong and the sleepy quiet of some other beaches. The villas sit just far enough back from the main beach road that you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise, but close enough that you can actually walk to decent restaurants and that gorgeous stretch of sand. I mean, couples are rating the location a perfect 10, and after spending time there, I totally get why. It’s intimate without being isolated, if that makes sense.

The Villas Experience

Each villa feels more like staying at a friend’s really nice place than a typical hotel room. The space is generous — actually generous, not just “generous for Thailand” — and the design hits that modern tropical aesthetic without going overboard with the bamboo and elephant motifs. What I loved most was how quiet everything felt once you’re inside your villa. The layout gives you proper privacy, which is something you don’t always get at beach properties where everyone’s practically on top of each other.

Relaxation & Amenities

Now, let’s talk about what really sets this place apart — the massage services. They offer back massage, neck massage, and foot massage right on the property, and honestly, after a day of exploring or just lounging by the beach, there’s nothing better than not having to venture out to find a decent spa. The therapists actually know what they’re doing, which isn’t always a given at hotel massage services. I found myself booking sessions more often than I planned, but when you’re paying villa prices anyway, why not treat yourself properly?

The 9.2 rating isn’t just numbers — you can feel it in how the staff remembers your name and your coffee preferences, how the housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and how everything just works the way it should.   The location of the villa was great. The villa was exceptionally clean at all times. Check in and check out was smooth. Bonus was having an in house masseuse and available at our convenience. The only comment I would make is that the room service was a bit slow. The staff were great overall.

  One of the most beautiful villas in Phuket, the pool is clean, the service is excellent, the location of the villa is excellent, the hotel provides a car to take you to Kamala for free, breakfast is available upon request the day before and a small fee is charged per person, it was a pleasant stay with the family

  Your property is well decorated and presents beautifully. It was sparkling clean and the layout both inside and outside is perfect. The pool is the best temperature for your climate. We loved the waterfall, outdoor shower, swing, and ability to access the pool various ways.
