Here’s the thing about Cape Panwa that took me a while to figure out – it’s not about the nightlife or shopping. If you want to hit up Bangla Road, you’re looking at about a 30-minute ride, which honestly felt longer in Phuket traffic. But that distance is also why I could actually sleep at night without hearing scooters and karaoke until 3 AM. The resort runs a shuttle to Phuket Town, which I used a couple times, though I found myself just staying put more often than not. The beachfront here isn’t your typical wide sandy stretch – it’s more rocky and intimate, better for watching longtail boats drift by than for Instagram beach shots. Room-wise, everything worked like it should (decent AC, hot water that actually stayed hot), and the beds were surprisingly comfortable for Southeast Asia. The breakfast spread was solid without being overwhelming – proper coffee, fresh tropical fruit, and enough Western options that you won’t feel homesick. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want from a vacation.
