This four-star property sits tucked into the hillside like it was always meant to be there — honestly, the approach alone tells you this isn’t your typical beach hotel. The villas cascade down the slope with this organic feel that makes the whole place seem almost secretive, which I actually loved.

The Kamala Advantage

Being in Kamala is brilliant if you ask me. You’re close enough to Patong that you can hit the action when you want it, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the chaos every single day. The beach here is this lovely crescent that never feels too crowded — I mean, even during high season, you can find your spot. What’s really smart about this location is how it sits on Soi 8, so you’ve got easy access to those little local places that tourists usually miss, but you’re still walking distance from the nicer beachfront restaurants.

Villa Life

Each room here is actually its own villa, which changes the whole experience. Mine had this private terrace that looked out over the Andaman Sea — and I’m talking about views that make you stop mid-conversation. The interiors feel contemporary but warm, with these high ceilings that keep everything cool even when it’s blazing outside. There’s something about having your own entrance and outdoor space that makes you feel less like a hotel guest and more like you’re staying at a friend’s place (if your friend happens to have impeccable taste).

Facilities That Actually Matter

The swimming pool is where I spent most of my afternoons — it’s this infinity design that seems to spill right into the jungle below. They’ve got a decent fitness area too, though honestly, with all the hills around here, just walking becomes a workout. What I really appreciated was the free parking right on site — sounds boring, but if you’re planning to explore the island by car or scooter, it’s actually a huge relief not to worry about where to leave it.

Why Guests Love It

The staff here get it — they’re attentive without being hovering, and they seem to genuinely know the area well. When I asked about the best local curry place, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward the tourist spots but gave me actual directions to this family-run place that became my go-to dinner spot. The whole vibe is relaxed but polished, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to unwind. Plus, with that 9.3 rating, it’s clear I’m not the only one who thinks they’ve got the balance just right between privacy and service.

Hotel in Phuket booking should be done early, especially during high season when the island hosts internationally celebrated beach parties and cultural festivals at Patong Beach and other iconic locations.

  Himmapana villas-Hills are situated about 25 minute walk distance away from Kamala Beach and about 20 minute from the main busy road. It is a bit up to the mountain but only the very last end of the road. The staf was really friendly and helpful. They communicate via Whatsapp instantly. Our plane back to home was in the evening, so they let us use the reception area for our baggages and we had possibility take a shower before leaving. The houses are really large and isolated well. Everything look rather new and clean. Beds are comfortable. The rooms are cleaned every day, linens and towels are changed every second day. There are complementary water bottles in the fridge. You can order breakfast and meals and massages and transportation via onsite ipad, The pool is really refreshing, especially after walking back from the beach in the evenings and then jump in. Although it is possible to book free shuttle to go around Kamala area.
