XAYA Pool Access Resort – Phuket Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about XAYA Pool Access Resort – Phuket, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries come when your expectations are low. This little gem completely changed how I think about mid-range accommodations in Phuket.
The whole “pool access” thing isn’t just marketing fluff – they actually mean it. Most of the rooms open directly onto these meandering pool areas, so you can literally roll out of bed and slip into the water before you’re fully awake. I mean, I’ve stayed at places that promise pool access and then you’re walking through three courtyards to get there, but here it’s genuinely right outside your door. The water’s usually perfect temperature too, especially in the early morning when the sun’s just hitting it but it’s not blazing hot yet. What really surprised me was how quiet it stays – even when the resort’s pretty full, the pool design somehow keeps things peaceful. Maybe it’s because people spread out naturally instead of crowding around one main pool area.
The location works really well if you’re the type who wants to be close to action but not drowning in it. You’re about a ten-minute walk from the main beach strip, which honestly is perfect timing – close enough that you don’t need to plan your whole day around getting there, but far enough that you’re not hearing scooters and street vendors at 6 AM. There’s this little local coffee shop just around the corner that the staff recommended, and it became my morning ritual. The rooms themselves are pretty straightforward – nothing fancy, but everything works and it’s clean. Air con is solid (crucial in Phuket humidity), and the beds are actually comfortable, not those rock-hard things you sometimes get. Storage space is decent, though if you’re the type who brings three suitcases, you might feel a bit cramped. The staff genuinely seems happy to help with whatever – arranging transport, restaurant recommendations, that kind of thing. They’re not just going through the motions, which you definitely notice after staying at places where everyone looks like they’d rather be anywhere else. Check-in was smooth, parking is easy if you rent a scooter, and honestly, for the price point, it delivers way more than it promises. It’s one of those places that just gets the basics really right, which sounds boring but is actually kind of rare.

Lovely and tranquil. A bit tucked away but value was great and the staff was super friendly. The owners were super kind and gave me lots of good dining tips

Quiet and peaceful accommodation in Chalong. Suitable for those who have transport. The nearest beaches are Kata and Karon (approximately 20 minutes by car). There was always a parking space even when the hotel was fully booked. There's a security guard.
From 8 in the morning starts free breakfast (coffee, toast with jam and corn flakes with milk), you can also heat your food in the microwave at any time in the lobby and eat it there. A washing machine is available for 60 baht. There is a small pool (but we didn't use it). You can't smoke inside only outside at selected point.
The hotel is not new, but it is clear that the management is working to improve the comfort of the guests. During our stay, CCTV cameras were installed in public areas, and safes appeared in the rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. The beds are large and comfortable, the rooms have a small refrigerator, kettle and TV, cleaning is done every day, they give 2 bottles of water for free.Sham from United Kingdom (9/10)
The staff was friendly and always ready to help with anything that arises. Even when we needed to go hospital they directed us to go to the right one, a very nice quiet place to relax and stay.

We had a great time staying here. Everything was clean and cozy, and the place itself is quiet and serene – perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The room had all necessities, working AC and a cool view at the pool (which also was pristine). For 60 THB you can use a washing machine in the hallway (no dryer sadly).
The hotel is in Chalong, which is not at a walking distance from all popular beaches, but you can always get a taxi or rent a bike/car to get around. Besides, there's much to see in the area anyways – Big Buddha, Tiger Park, etc. There's a bunch of cafes nearby, as well as drugstores and shops.
