Walking to Kamala Beach takes maybe eight minutes if you’re dawdling, and there’s this little cluster of local restaurants just down the street where you’ll find some of the best pad thai on this side of Phuket – the kind of spots that don’t have Instagram-worthy plating but absolutely nail the flavors.

What I really appreciate is how the staff handles things – no hovering, but they’re around when you need them. Check-in was smooth, none of that artificial hotel theater, just genuine people who seem to actually care about whether you’re comfortable. The Wi-Fi works properly throughout the building (I tested it because, let’s be real, that matters), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve tried. The pool area gets busy around mid-afternoon when families return from the beach, but early mornings and evenings it’s pretty peaceful. I spent quite a few evenings there with a book and a beer from the little convenience shop next door – honestly, it became my favorite part of the day. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, and the elevator is a bit slow, but there’s something genuinely comfortable about the whole place that makes you want to extend your stay rather than count down days until checkout.

Hotel in Phuket booking should be done early, especially during high season when the island hosts internationally celebrated beach parties and cultural festivals at Patong Beach and other iconic locations.

  The staff (Son in particular) went out of their way to help me. I could not fault their kindness. The location was a pleasant walk to the beach so not noisy but easily accessible. Everywhere was clean and anything I asked the staff to help me with was done immediately. Would recommend to others and would definitely stay here again.
