ViVi Hotel Resort Overview

First Impressions

When I first pulled up to ViVi Hotel Resort, I’ll be honest — it’s not the flashiest place you’ll see in Phuket, but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it. This three-star property sits quietly in the Rawai area, and you immediately get the sense that it’s more about comfort than showing off. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles (not the rehearsed kind), and I appreciated that they actually remembered my name during my stay.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about the location — you’re perfectly positioned between Rawai and Nai Harn beaches, which means you get the best of both worlds without the chaos of Patong. Rawai’s fishing village vibe is just a short walk away, and honestly, watching the longtail boats come in at sunset became my daily ritual. The parking situation is a dream if you’re renting a car or scooter — it’s free and right on-site, which is actually pretty rare around here. I mean, couples seem to really get it since they rate the location 8.4, and I can see why.

The Room Experience

My room was clean and functional — nothing fancy, but everything worked properly, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed. The air conditioning was powerful (crucial in Thailand’s heat), and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. You know what impressed me most? The little details like having enough electrical outlets and decent water pressure in the shower. The balcony wasn’t huge, but it caught a nice breeze in the evenings.

Exploring the Neighborhood

What really makes this place special is how it connects you to authentic Phuket life. The local seafood market in Rawai is a five-minute walk — I’d grab fresh catches and have them cooked at one of the beachside stalls for a fraction of what resort restaurants charge. Nai Harn Beach, arguably one of Phuket’s most beautiful stretches of sand, is close enough for morning walks but far enough that you’re not dealing with crowds at your doorstep. There’s also this little local restaurant called Kan Eang that serves incredible tom yum — the kind of place you’d never find without staying in this neighborhood.

Why Guests Love It

Look, ViVi Hotel Resort isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and that’s exactly why it works. You’re getting solid value in one of Phuket’s most authentic areas, with recent guests consistently rating the location 8.5 for good reason. It’s the kind of place where you can experience real Thai culture during the day and still have a comfortable, quiet retreat to come back to. If you’re the type who prefers exploring local markets over poolside cocktails, and you want to actually experience Phuket rather than just Instagram it, this spot delivers without breaking the bank.

Really nice outside set up and good location. Room was nice, loved the outside personal deck. Inside was okay not really updated and room set up kinda weird how the desk.
Kinda had to climb over the bed to get to the side.
Bathroom was nice. But bad lighting. I think bad lighting might be a thing put here.
Had the normal couple cockroachs i had to kill but thats honestly normal for the area, they just didn't have bug killer in the room like some places I've been too. A fast spray each week is probably needed.
Other than that, honestly, a nice place. I would love to go back when the prices aren't crazy high. $700 usd was good for a month, but i wouldn't wanna do anything more than $900usd for just a room and a pool. ( $23-30 a night max worth) They have a sauna that's free for guests, but that's not a selling point at all. Nor is a restaurant & bars. Location is literally in the heart of many great restaurants.
If I was the owner I would have made the place into a full spa, steam room, cold bath, maybe a small gym. Or made big room to invite location yoga instructors or sounds bowl healing. That would have brought in more money and made the place extremely comforting and desirable since they had the space. The whole yard and pool area is just so calming and chill to not go all out spa & stay.
