You know what really struck me about Villoft Zen Living Resort? It’s one of those places where they actually live up to the “zen” part of their name – and I say that as someone who’s stayed at way too many hotels that promise tranquility and deliver traffic noise. This four-star property has this understated elegance that feels more like staying at a really well-designed friend’s place than a typical resort.

The whole vibe here is refreshingly low-key. When I walked into my suite (and honestly, even their standard rooms feel suite-like), I was impressed by how they’ve managed to make modern minimalism feel warm instead of sterile. The lighting is spot-on – none of those harsh overhead fixtures that make you look like you’re in an interrogation room. Instead, there’s this layered approach with floor lamps and ambient lighting that actually makes you want to hang out in your room. The beds are seriously comfortable too, with that perfect firmness that doesn’t leave you tossing around all night. I mean, I’m pretty picky about mattresses, and this one passed the test.

What I really appreciated was how thoughtfully everything was designed for longer stays – there’s actual counter space in the bathroom (revolutionary, I know), a kitchenette that’s more than just decorative, and enough storage that you don’t have to live out of a suitcase. The staff strikes this nice balance between being helpful without hovering, which can be tricky to pull off. Check-in was smooth, and they seem to genuinely remember your preferences after the first day or two. The common areas have this relaxed energy where you might actually want to work on your laptop or just decompress with a book. With an 8.4 rating, it’s clearly hitting the mark for most guests, and honestly, I can see why – it’s the kind of place that gets the details right without making a big show of it. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like a proper retreat without the meditation gongs and forced serenity, this place nails that sweet spot perfectly.

  Very slick and brand new! Fully equipped with everything you need. We were upgraded and the upgraded room was incredible- it had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and and amazing pool, as well as a gorgeous kitchen and chill lounge. Good location for food and shopping – quick 10 minute drive to Boat Avenue, where there are great restaurants and a vibey night market. The decor is fabulous, and the apartments are very comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff, special thanks to Aew, Plaai, and Shaa, as well as a few others whos names we did not get, who were lovely. Having your own transport is recommended; it's in a very residential part of Phuket (but the staff will happily call taxis for you if need be).

  The service was very friendly and helpful. We had to stay longer in the loft because we get sick and it was bo problem to stay in the same room. The property is on a perfect place and very calm. We really liked it here. It was also very clean.

  The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would stay at this property again but would request the sheets were changed as I think cause we stayed in September not a lot of people were staying so bedding was sitting for days/weeks possibly. The property was very beautiful inside and out just a few minor things let it down.
