I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Villa White Pool, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name kind of says it all though, doesn’t it? This four-star place is exactly what it promises: crisp white architecture with that stunning pool as the absolute centerpiece. And honestly, that pool alone is worth the stay.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to create this sense of intimate luxury without feeling stuffy. You know what I mean? The kind of place where you can actually relax by the pool with a book without feeling like you need to pose for Instagram every five minutes (though trust me, you’ll want to take photos). The pool area has these comfortable loungers that actually stay comfortable even after a few hours, and there’s enough space that you’re not elbow-to-elbow with other guests. I spent most afternoons there, and the staff seemed to have this sixth sense about when you needed a fresh towel or a drink refill.

The rooms themselves strike that perfect balance – modern and clean but with enough character that you don’t feel like you’re staying in a generic chain hotel. Mine had this great view of the pool area, which meant I could people-watch a bit in the mornings over coffee. Speaking of mornings, the breakfast setup is pretty solid. Nothing too fancy, but they do the basics really well, and there’s usually something local mixed in that you wouldn’t get at the typical tourist spots. The whole vibe is relaxed but polished – like someone actually thought about what guests would want rather than just checking boxes on an amenities list. I mean, little things matter, right? The WiFi actually works throughout the property, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. The rating of 8.8 makes total sense to me because while it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, it absolutely nails what it sets out to do. It’s the sort of spot where you end up staying longer by the pool than you planned, where conversations with other travelers happen naturally, and where you leave feeling like you actually got to unwind instead of just ticking another hotel off your list.

  Everything was as expected and looked exactly as on the pictures. The villa is good, it has a lot of space. It is located in quiet area, also small shop is nearby. Alam (member of the staff) is very friendly, he helped us a lot – found us tuktuk drivers, he booked day trip for us. They also offer laundry service (a little bit expensier as if you organise it by yourself) and airport pickup/drop off. There were also 2 cute cats at the villa.
