I mean, when you’re staying in Bang Tao – which honestly feels like the more laid-back cousin to Patong’s chaos – sometimes you just want a place that gets the basics right without all the bells and whistles.

This three-star spot sits in a quiet part of the area, and I actually appreciated that it’s not right on the main beach strip where you’ve got tour groups shuffling around at 6 AM. The rooms are pretty straightforward – clean, decent air con (which, let’s be real, is half the battle in Phuket), and the beds are actually comfortable. Nothing fancy, but I slept well, and the shower had proper water pressure. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure things ran smoothly, which you don’t always get at this price point. There’s a small pool that’s perfect for cooling off in the afternoon heat, though don’t expect any Instagram-worthy infinity edge situation here.

What I really liked was the location – you’re close enough to Bang Tao Beach that it’s an easy walk (maybe 10 minutes if you’re not rushing), but far enough from the main tourist drag that you can actually hear yourself think. The neighborhood has that authentic Thai feel where you’ll see locals going about their daily business, and there are some excellent little restaurants within walking distance that most tourists never find. I discovered this tiny spot that does incredible som tam just two streets over. The hotel doesn’t have a fancy restaurant, but honestly, why would you want to eat hotel food when you’re in Thailand? They do serve a simple breakfast that hits the spot – nothing elaborate, but decent coffee and fresh fruit. Parking was never an issue, which is actually a big deal if you’re planning to rent a scooter and explore the area properly. Overall, it’s the kind of place that won’t wow you with luxury, but it’ll give you a comfortable base to explore from without breaking the bank.

  The villa is beautiful it's very cosy all the rooms are good size with good facilities.

  The villa is brand new, spacious and clean. Nice decoration and huge garden around the villas. There are three similar 3 bedroom villas on the site and it’s great convenience for big families or a small group to rent them all together. It takes only 5 minutes taxi ride to get to shopping mall and waterpark and like 10 min to the beach Bang Tao or Layan.

  It is perfect place to stay with kids. There is an open air cinema and a caffe. Beautiful design. Our villa had a river view, you can feed beautiful fish there enjoying fantastic jungle views. The host helped us with renting a car for very reasonable price!
