I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Villa KHAO MANEE, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name definitely intrigued me (it means “white gem” in Thai, which you’ll understand once you see the place), and while it’s a four-star property, it has this boutique feel that honestly punches above its weight class.

What really struck me about this place is how they’ve managed to create something that feels both intimate and polished without going overboard. The villa-style layout means you’re not dealing with those massive hotel corridors and elevators packed with tourists – instead, you get these charming individual spaces that actually feel like, well, staying at someone’s really nice house. The staff genuinely seems to remember your name after the first day, which is refreshing. I mean, you know how rare that is these days. The rooms have this clean, minimalist aesthetic that somehow manages to be cozy rather than stark – lots of natural light, decent-sized bathrooms, and honestly, the beds are pretty fantastic. Air conditioning works like a dream too, which anyone who’s traveled in tropical climates will tell you is non-negotiable.

The location is one of those spots that locals know about but isn’t completely overrun yet. You’re close enough to the main action that getting around isn’t a hassle, but far enough removed that you can actually get some peace and quiet when you want it. I loved being able to walk to some really solid local restaurants – the kind of places where you might be the only foreigner, but the food is absolutely incredible. Parking wasn’t an issue when I visited, and the front desk folks were super helpful with directions and recommendations that went beyond the typical tourist traps. The property itself has this tropical garden vibe going on, with enough greenery that you forget you’re in a hotel sometimes. Pool area is smaller than what you’d find at a big resort, but it’s perfectly adequate and never felt crowded. With an 8.1 rating from other travelers, it seems like most people walk away pretty satisfied, and I can see why. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town – it’s just doing the fundamentals really well, with enough personality to make it memorable.

  Beautiful villa very close to lovely beach, cafes and restaurants. Very comfortable beds, ceiling fans, and gorgeous pool and outdoor sitting area. The host helped us organise a taxi to the villa and in-villa facial/massages which were excellent.

  Very nice villa, great clean pool, nice outdoor seating, you have your privacy in garden and in the pool. Comfortable beds. We will be happy to come back. I can definitely recommend the accommodation.

  Honestly every thing were fantastic. The villa is well designed, nice pool and furniture. The owner “Valarie” welcomed us her-self warmly and was very helpfully, she suggested us multi-services, places to go nearby and late check-out for an hour. I really Recommend the place for relaxing and the location is close to Phuket Airport. Will come again definitely.

  Silent area, private pool, everything nice. Not a touristic area. Can rent motorcycle via villa staff (is also necessary, you couldn't reach anywhere by walk).

  The villa was really nice, super clean and full of privacy.
  Also, the owner of the villa Valerie she's very friendly and prepared everything for our 2 children ( toys, beach toys and swim floaties) . The villa in safe and quiet place. All 2 rooms and living room had air conditioning and kitchen is perfect for cooking.
  
  In the end I and my family love this place and for sure I will visit it again 😉
