That actually turned out to be part of its charm. This place sits right in the heart of Kamala, just a quick stroll from that gorgeous crescent of beach that somehow manages to stay way less crowded than the circus over in Patong.

What really struck me about this hotel is how it feels more like a collection of private villas than your typical tourist block. The rooms are spread across several low-rise buildings with these nice tropical gardens weaving between them – I mean, you can actually hear the birds in the morning instead of just air conditioning units humming. My room faced the pool area, which was perfect because I could keep an eye on whether it was busy before heading down (pro tip: mornings before 9 AM are golden). The Wi-Fi actually worked well throughout the property, which honestly surprised me given how many places in Kamala still struggle with that.

The staff here really knows their stuff about the local area. When I asked about getting to the Sunday market in Kamala village, the front desk guy didn’t just point me toward a taxi – he told me exactly which songthaew to catch and where it stops. That kind of local knowledge makes such a difference when you’re trying to experience the real Thailand, not just the resort bubble version. The pool gets decent sun until about 4 PM, then the palm trees create this nice shaded area that’s perfect for an afternoon beer. Speaking of which, their little poolside bar serves up surprisingly solid Thai food – the pad kra pao was actually spicy, unlike the watered-down versions you get at some of the bigger hotels. Sure, it’s not going to win any culinary awards, but after a day of beach hopping and temple visits, it hits the spot perfectly. The walk to Kamala Beach takes maybe five minutes if you’re moving slowly, and once you’re there, you’ve got that nice mix of local seafood shacks and a few more upscale beachfront restaurants if you want to splurge.

  Bardzo blisko do wszystkiego. Ok 1 min spacerem do plaży, a ulica z każdego rodzaju posiłkami od razu za bramą. Mega miła obsługa. Po zgłoszeniu, że kran przecieka, w 30 min przyszli ludzie naprawić i szybko się uwinęli. Generalnie schludnie i potencjalnie w miarę czysto. Bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielem, szybko odpisuje
