The infinity pool – and trust me, I’ve seen plenty – literally seems to spill right into the Andaman Sea below. I spent most of my mornings there with coffee, watching the longtail boats head out for the day while the beach was still relatively quiet. The villa itself is this gorgeous contemporary design with these massive floor-to-ceiling windows that basically turn the entire ocean view into living artwork. What surprised me most, though, was how thoughtfully everything was designed. The outdoor spaces flow so naturally into the indoor areas that you barely notice where one ends and the other begins – which is perfect for Phuket’s climate, honestly.
Location-wise, you’re maybe a five-minute drive down to Kamala Beach proper, where you’ll find some genuinely good local restaurants (avoid the tourist traps right on the beach – walk inland a block or two). The staff arrangement through Elite Havens is something else entirely – they’ve got this concierge service that actually knows the area inside and out. I’m talking about recommendations for that little family-run som tam place that doesn’t even have a sign, or how to get to the viewpoint on the back road that most tourists never find. The villa comes with a private chef option too, which… well, let’s just say I probably ate better there than I have at some Michelin-starred places. Actually, one evening we had this incredible seafood spread prepared right there on the deck while watching the sunset, and it’s one of those travel moments that just sticks with you. The only thing I’d mention is that you’ll definitely want a car or scooter if you’re planning to explore much – it’s peaceful up there, but you’re not exactly walking distance to nightlife or shopping. Then again, with a place this beautiful, you might find yourself perfectly content just staying put.
