Twinpalms Surin Phuket Resort is one of those places that honestly catches you off guard – I mean, you think you know what to expect from a five-star resort, but this place has this incredibly zen, minimalist thing going on that’s actually refreshing. It sits right on Surin Beach, and I’m talking literally steps from some of the softest sand you’ll find on Phuket’s west coast. The design is all clean lines and natural materials – lots of dark wood and stone that somehow feels both luxurious and understated at the same time.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to create this sense of privacy even though you’re staying in a pretty popular area. The pool suites (and honestly, you want one of these) have their own private pools that feel like secret gardens – there’s this amazing interplay of indoor and outdoor space that makes you forget you’re even in a hotel room. The main infinity pool area is where things get social, and it’s got this killer view that stretches right out to the Andaman Sea. You know what’s smart about this place? They keep the music low and the vibe sophisticated, so it never feels like a party hotel even when it’s busy during high season.

The beach situation is pretty perfect too – Surin isn’t as crazy crowded as Patong, but it’s got enough going on that you won’t be bored. There are some solid beach clubs within walking distance, and the local seafood spots just down the beach serve some of the best tom yum I had on the whole trip. Staff here actually seems to enjoy their jobs (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always the case at luxury resorts), and they remember your name and drink preferences without being overly formal about it. The spa is tucked away in this tropical garden setting that makes you feel like you’ve discovered some hidden retreat. One small thing – the resort can get pretty quiet in the evenings since there’s no big restaurant scene right on property, but that’s actually part of its charm if you’re looking to disconnect and just enjoy the sound of waves hitting the beach.

  A perfect hotel to enjoy the vacation in Thailand. The staff greets new guests with a welcome drinks and a flower necklace. The rooms are clean and huge. The pool area is amazing.

  Surin Beach is a peaceful spot, making it an ideal location for this resort. We celebrated our honeymoon in a luxurious duplex suite with a private pool. The 5-star resort is modern, functional, private, and incredibly comfortable. Chart and the team were always there to assist us, keeping everything spotlessly clean with a lovely fragrance everywhere, and they were always friendly and eager to help with anything we needed.
  
  The gym is fantastic, with a studio equipped with boxing bags. The main pool is stunning, and the pool bar serves delicious drinks. The breakfast buffet is tasty and offers a lot of variety. Although the resort doesn’t have a private beach, it has a partnership with other hotels in the network, with shuttles almost every hour to their beach clubs. The nearby beach is public, quiet, and very relaxing.

  Lovely pool, great gym. The steak restaurant wagyu was excellent. We got a pool access room but i wouldnt bother in future, The standard rooms looked bigger. if anything we felt the room was on the small side
