This place completely surprised me in the best possible way. The moment you step into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense of calm that washes over you – it’s all clean lines, natural materials, and these floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Andaman Sea like a living painting. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day (not just because they’re checking a computer screen), and there’s something refreshing about a luxury resort that doesn’t feel stuffy or pretentious.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to create this perfect balance between sophisticated design and actual comfort. The pool area is where you’ll probably spend most of your time – it’s this gorgeous infinity setup that seems to melt right into the ocean horizon, and honestly, the Instagram photos don’t do it justice. The water temperature is always spot-on, which sounds like a small thing until you’ve stayed at places where the pool feels like a lukewarm bath. I mean, the sunset views from the pool deck are absolutely spectacular, especially around 6:30 PM when the sky starts doing that whole orange-pink thing that Phuket is famous for. The beach access is really what sets this place apart though – you’re right on Kamala Beach, which is way less crowded than Patong but still has that perfect white sand you’re looking for.

What I appreciated most was how the resort feels intimate despite being fairly sizable. The rooms are spacious (those ocean-view suites are worth the splurge, trust me), and they’ve got these private terraces where you can have your morning coffee without feeling like you’re on display. The restaurant situation is solid too – their Thai cuisine is actually authentic, not the watered-down tourist version you get at a lot of resort restaurants. I had some of the best green curry of my trip right there on property. The spa is tucked away in this quiet corner where you can actually hear the waves, and their traditional Thai massage therapists know what they’re doing. Sure, it’s pricier than heading into town, but sometimes you just want that convenience. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the WiFi can be a bit spotty in some of the beachfront areas, but honestly, that might be a blessing in disguise if you’re trying to disconnect. This is definitely one of those places where the 9.1 rating makes complete sense once you experience it yourself.
