This three-star suite sits in one of those spots where you’re close enough to everything fun but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the chaos of Patong. The walk to Café Del Mar takes maybe ten minutes if you’re strolling, and honestly, that’s become my evening routine – grab a drink there while watching the sunset, then head back to the suite. FantaSea is close too, though I mean, you’ll probably only do that tourist show once anyway. What I really love is how you can hear the ocean from the balcony but you’re not paying those insane beachfront prices. The suite itself has everything you actually need – decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, a kitchen area that’s perfect for making coffee in the morning or storing those late-night 7-Eleven runs, and air conditioning that works properly (trust me, this matters more than you think in Thailand). The bed’s comfortable enough, though the pillows are a bit soft for my taste – but that seems to be a Thailand thing in general.

Here’s what nobody tells you about staying in Kamala – it gets really quiet after the restaurants close, which is either perfect or boring depending on what you’re after. I found it pretty relaxing actually, especially compared to the madness down south. The building itself is well-maintained, and the elevator works consistently (again, these details matter when you’re on the third floor in tropical heat). Parking can get tight during high season, but there’s usually something available if you’re not too picky about walking an extra block. The only real downside I noticed is that grocery shopping means a bit of a trek – there’s a small mart nearby for basics, but for proper supplies you’ll want to venture out a bit further. Still, for the price point and that solid 8.2 rating it’s earned, this place delivers exactly what it promises. It’s not trying to be fancy, just comfortable and well-located, which honestly is exactly what most of us need for a good beach vacation.
