I stayed here last spring when Kamala was hitting that sweet spot between high season crowds and the quieter months, and the pool area below looked like something out of a resort brochure – except this time, you’re not paying resort prices.

The apartment itself feels surprisingly spacious, and I loved how the two bedrooms are actually separated enough that you’re not hearing every conversation from the next room (trust me, this matters when you’re traveling with friends or family). The kitchen is properly equipped too – not just the usual mini-fridge and microwave situation you get in most hotel-style places. I actually cooked a few meals there using ingredients from the local market down the hill, and it felt more like staying in someone’s well-appointed home than a typical vacation rental. The living area opens up to that pool view they promise, and in the evenings when the lights reflect off the water… well, it’s pretty magical, honestly. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being reasonably close to the action – Kamala Beach is maybe a ten-minute walk, fifteen if you’re taking your time and stopping for photos along the way.

Location-wise, you’re in this interesting middle ground where you can easily get to the beach when you want that classic Phuket experience, but you’re also removed enough from the main tourist strips that you feel like you’re actually in Thailand, not just another beach resort bubble. The staff – and I use that term loosely since it’s more apartment-style – were incredibly helpful when I had questions about getting around. They pointed me toward some local restaurants that I never would have found otherwise, including this little seafood place about five minutes away that locals actually frequent. The 9.3 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s one of those places where the small details are done right, from decent water pressure in the showers to blackout curtains that actually block the morning sun when you want to sleep in after a late night exploring Patong.

  The location is good, just a little far away from the centre of Kamala's life. You can walk easily there.
  The apartment was nice and clean and there were some little problems at out arrival but they managed to fix all in the best way.

  MinMin & Effie are extremely accommodating, responsive, and flexible.
  Not to mention how helpful and cute they are 😃😊. Their management company, "Miracle Club", is as it seems. A collection of marvelous accommodations. The vast majority of the (many) units available in Citygate Condo/Hotel are managed by Miracle Club. They have additional accomodations scattered throughout the most alluring properties in the Phuket area.
  
  Overall the value for money, service, and nature of the location, units, and personnel, is an 11/10.
