I spent most mornings just wandering around the property with my coffee – there are these little hidden corners and terraces that most guests never seem to find. The pool area gets busy around midday (especially during high season), but if you claim a spot early or wait until late afternoon, it’s absolutely dreamy.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to detail that you only notice after a day or two. The housekeeping staff somehow manages to time everything perfectly so you never feel interrupted, the restaurant actually knows how to make Western breakfast without making it sad and disappointing, and – this might sound weird – but the wifi works everywhere, even by the beach chairs. I’ve stayed at plenty of places where you’re basically offline the moment you step outside. The spa is ridiculously good too, though definitely book ahead because word has gotten out about their traditional Thai massages. Honestly, after three days here I felt more relaxed than I had in months. The only tiny complaint I have is that the check-in process can be a bit slow during peak times, but the staff is so genuinely friendly that it doesn’t really matter. Plus, they’ll bring you a welcome drink while you wait, and trust me, it’s worth the few extra minutes.
