The fact that there’s free parking right on site was actually a relief, since finding a decent spot around Rawai can be surprisingly tricky during peak season.

You know what I love about staying here? Rawai isn’t your typical beach destination — it’s more of a working fishing village that happens to have some gorgeous stretches of sand. The longtail boats bobbing in the bay give you this authentic Thai coastal vibe that’s getting harder to find these days. From Trixie House 3, you’re close enough to walk to the seafood market (trust me, go early morning for the best catches), but far enough from the main drag that you actually get some peace and quiet.

The Room and Amenities

My room was honestly better than I expected for the price point. Clean, well-maintained, and with that essential air conditioning that actually works — which, let’s face it, is crucial in Thailand’s heat. The swimming pool area became my go-to spot in the afternoons; it’s not huge, but it’s perfectly adequate for cooling off between beach trips. I mean, when you’re this close to the ocean, you’re probably not spending all day poolside anyway.

Getting Around and Exploring

Here’s something the booking sites don’t always mention clearly — Rawai is fantastic if you want to island-hop. The pier is literally a short walk away, and you can catch boats to Coral Island, Koh Bon, or even do day trips to Phi Phi from here. The hotel staff actually helped me sort out a longtail boat for a half-day trip, which ended up being way more affordable than the tour operators in Patong or Kata. Plus, having that parking space meant I could easily drive to other beaches when I felt like exploring — Nai Harn is just five minutes away and honestly has some of the clearest water I’ve seen in Phuket.

Why Guests Love It

The 9.0 rating really makes sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — no fancy restaurant or over-the-top amenities — but what it does, it does well. The location strikes that perfect balance between accessible and peaceful, which I think is why couples rate it so highly. You’re close enough to everything that matters (good food, boat trips, beautiful beaches), but you’re not dealing with the noise and crowds that come with staying in the more touristy areas. Sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that just get the basics right, and Trixie House 3 definitely falls into that category.
