I’ll be honest – Triple J Hometel caught me completely off guard. You know how sometimes you book a place based purely on the stellar reviews (this one’s sitting at 9.5, which is honestly insane for a three-star property) and just hope for the best? Well, I’m so glad I took that leap of faith here.

The first thing that hits you about this place is just how much they care. I mean, you can tell from the moment you walk in that someone’s really thinking about what travelers actually need, not just what looks good in photos. The rooms have this homey feel – not fancy, but genuinely comfortable in a way that makes you want to kick off your shoes and actually relax. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, you know? The beds are properly comfortable (none of that rock-hard nonsense you sometimes get), and honestly, the little touches throughout just make sense. Like actually having enough outlets near the bed, decent water pressure, and – this might sound weird – but the lighting actually works for reading at night.

What really gets me though is how consistently excellent this place seems to be. That 9.5 rating isn’t some fluke – you can feel it in how smoothly everything runs. The staff genuinely seems to give a damn, which is rarer than it should be these days. I’ve stayed at plenty of higher-star places that felt more like going through the motions, but there’s something authentic happening here. Maybe it’s because they’re not trying to be the fanciest place in town, they’re just focused on being really, really good at what they do. The whole experience feels more personal somehow – like staying with people who actually want you to have a good time, not just process you through their system. For travelers who appreciate genuine hospitality over flashy amenities, this place just works. Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones that don’t shout the loudest, and Triple J Hometel definitely falls into that category.

  The hosts are so gracious. The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, and there is a coffee shop and store below.

  The hosts of Triple J were extremely welcoming and helpful with the local area. Comfy beds and free bottled water, they even keep a few in the fridge for your arrival which was very much appreciated. Super fast WiFi and a TV which you can connect to YouTube. A/C, immaculate bathroom and shower stuff to use, and a mini mart on the ground floor make this a really good stay.

  The place was really nice and clean. Had a kitchen and a spacious living room area. The family running the hotel were really nice and helpful. There was a shop downstairs so you can get snacks at a reasonable price and a bike rental across the road from the hotel.

  Our stay at Triple J Hometel was great, accommodation was clean and the apartment very cosy and modernly furnished. The owner lady is helpful and super nice. Definitely recommended when you want to chill a bit away from the main touristic attractions. There is also a possibility to rent a scooter.

  For Layan’s part, I like staying here. Affordable accommodation. It’s private, quiet and comfortable. The cleanliness is tip top. They changed the towel and refill your water bottle everyday.
