The location really is the secret sauce here though. Phuket can feel overwhelming with all the tour groups and beach vendors, but this little pocket near Kata feels more… I don’t know, manageable? You can walk to that great viewpoint between Kata and Kata Noi beaches in about fifteen minutes, and there’s this local restaurant tucked behind the 7-Eleven that does the best pad see ew I had on the entire island.

What I appreciated most was how quiet it gets at night – you’re close enough to hear the waves if you open your balcony door, but far enough from the main beach road that you don’t get the late-night scooter traffic. The pool area is nothing fancy, just a decent-sized rectangle surrounded by loungers, but it catches the afternoon sun perfectly and there’s usually space to actually swim a few laps. Look, the 7.6 rating tells the story pretty well – it’s solid without being spectacular. If you’re the type who needs turndown service and premium toiletries, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want a comfortable base for exploring the southern beaches without breaking your budget, and you appreciate staying somewhere that feels more like a local recommendation than a tourist trap, you’ll get why people keep coming back here. Just book directly if you can – they sometimes throw in airport pickup, and every baht saved is another Chang beer at sunset.

  The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful . The Staff were friendly and helpful and especially the three ladies on Reception , a special thanks to Sovana, Dom and Nui . Pool beach towels were provided as well as a beach mat and an umbrella . Kata and Karon beach easy to walk to and the location is in the middle of restaurants , bars , markets , convenience stores .
