You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from The Luna when I first pulled up – honestly, the name made it sound like some generic chain hotel. But this three-star place really surprised me in the best way possible. The moment you walk through those doors, there’s this warm, intimate vibe that bigger hotels just can’t pull off. The lobby feels more like someone’s really well-decorated living room, with these comfortable leather chairs that actually look lived-in and artwork that doesn’t scream “bought in bulk.”

The staff here – and I mean this – actually seem to give a damn about what they’re doing. Check-in was smooth, no weird upselling tactics, and the front desk guy gave me genuinely useful tips about the area that weren’t just copied from a tourist brochure. My room was on the smaller side, sure, but everything felt thoughtfully designed. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom had this rainfall showerhead that made morning routines way more pleasant than they had any right to be. What really got me was the attention to small details – like, there were actual hangers in the closet, not those theft-proof ones that make you want to throw your clothes on the floor instead.

I’ll be straight with you – this isn’t the kind of place where you’re going to find a massive pool or room service until 2 AM. But that 9.1 rating makes complete sense once you spend a night there. The whole place just works in this effortless way that makes you feel like you made a smart choice rather than settling for something. The neighborhood’s pretty quiet too, which means you can actually sleep without earplugs, but you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere either. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that focuses on doing the basics really, really well instead of trying to be everything to everyone. If you’re the type who values genuine hospitality over flashy amenities, The Luna gets it right.

  Complimentary breakfast was good. The lockers in the dorm (4 bed) were big and had a lock. You could have a clean towel every day if you wished. I living area upstairs with pool table was a good addition to staying in a dorm

  It was super close to the airport. Beautifully designed room and friendly staff. Tasty breakfast too which they kindly made early for us as we were catching an early flight.

  Everything! For £45, it was 2 mins from airport departures. We had the deluxe double with ensuite, which was clean and had tea and coffee making facilities. FREE parking, FREE bike hire, FREE breakfast 24/7. Continental before 7am. The lovely beach is a 15-minute walk. I would stay again without hesitation.

  I only spent one night at this hostel (in a dorm) but I cannot say a bad thing about it. It was super clean, the staff was always nice and helpful, and I was able to use the lobby and swimming pool after check out, when I was waiting for my flight. The location is just 5’ walk from the airport, yet it is away from the Main Street which makes it a calm and nice place to stay. It’s also within a walking distance from Srinat National Park.
