The Cheetar Hotel Overview

You know what caught me off guard about The Cheetar Hotel? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies or over-the-top amenities, but somehow ends up being exactly what you need. I mean, sure, it’s a three-star property, so you’re not expecting marble everything and champagne service – but honestly, that works in its favor.

The first time I walked into the lobby, I got this immediate sense that the staff actually cares about getting things right. Check-in was smooth, no weird upselling attempts, and the front desk person knew the area well enough to give me solid restaurant recommendations that weren’t just tourist traps. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully laid out – nothing fancy, but everything works properly, which is more than I can say for some supposedly fancier places I’ve stayed. The beds are surprisingly comfortable, and I actually slept well despite being someone who usually tosses and turns in hotel beds. One thing I appreciated was how quiet it stays at night; the walls seem pretty solid, and you’re not dealing with constant hallway chatter or elevator dings.

What really sells me on this place is how it handles the little details that matter when you’re traveling. The WiFi actually works throughout the building (tested it in the lobby, room, and even the stairwells because I’m paranoid like that). There’s decent water pressure in the shower, the air conditioning responds quickly, and they keep the common areas genuinely clean without that overwhelming chemical smell some hotels have. The breakfast setup is nothing extraordinary, but it’s fresh and there’s enough variety to get your day started properly. I also noticed they’re pretty good about maintenance – no flickering lights, wobbly furniture, or those bathroom door handles that feel like they’re about to fall off. Parking was straightforward too, which honestly can make or break a stay depending on where you’re headed for the day. With an 8.1 rating from other travelers, it’s clear I’m not the only one who appreciates when a hotel just does the fundamentals well without any unnecessary drama. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want – a reliable base that lets you focus on whatever brought you to town in the first place.

    All great, very good staff

  • Blake from Australia (9/10)

The room was excellent, we couldn't believe what we got for the price. The staff looked after us, as we both got very sick, but they were extremely helpful.

  • Kira from Russia (1/10)

The hotel accepts bookings, however they have no rooms. We spend time/money on taxi to hear “solly no loom”

  • Zoe from United Kingdom (9/10)

Amazing value for money! Amazing staff! Clean and so spacious! We could not believe the quality and size of the room for the price, it was amazing. Also within walking distance to andamanda park which we did on our first day. Would definitely return!

  • Fatuma from Australia (4/10)

This hotel is bit far from the tourist attractions and there is no decent cafes around so be aware of that. Your best luck is 7/11 which is nearby.

The gym is horrible, no weights there at all.
