That’s exactly what makes this place special. This four-star boutique property sits right on Kata Beach, and once you step inside, you realize they’ve put all their energy into the views and the experience rather than flashy lobbies. The whole vibe feels like someone’s incredibly well-designed beach house rather than a typical hotel.

The Location Magic

I mean, couples absolutely love this spot for good reason — they’ve rated the location 9.4, and I get it. You’re literally steps from one of Phuket’s quieter beaches, which is saying something since most of the island can feel pretty crowded. Kata Beach has this perfect curve of sand, and the water here stays relatively calm compared to some of the wilder spots up north. What’s really nice is that you can walk to decent restaurants and bars without dealing with the chaos of Patong, but you’re not completely isolated either.

The Room Experience

The beds here are honestly some of the most comfortable I’ve encountered in Thailand — guests consistently rave about getting proper sleep, which isn’t always guaranteed in tropical climates. Each room feels thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter, and most have these gorgeous ocean views that make you want to just sit on your balcony with coffee for hours. The air conditioning actually works well (trust me, this matters), and there’s enough space to spread out your beach gear without tripping over everything.

Having direct beach access changes everything about your day — no schlepping bags across busy roads or hunting for beach chairs. The property maintains its own section of sand, so you’ve got that sorted. There’s a decent fitness center if you’re one of those people who actually exercises on vacation, and the beachfront location means you can basically roll out of bed and into the ocean. The restaurant serves solid Thai food with tables right on the sand, which sounds touristy but actually works really well for lazy lunch days.

  What can I say? This is the Boathouse, probably the best hotel on Kata Beach and our favourite place to stay in Phuket. The freshly prepared breakfasts and dinners overlooking the beach, great facilities, helpful staff, pool set up, sunset views and beach location all add to the charm and pleasure of staying here. And let's not forget the fabulous food and beverages with great dining area. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with large comfortable beds and a decent TV selection for rainy days.
