The Blue Mavi Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into The Blue Mavi Hotel, you immediately get that feeling of discovering something special tucked away in Chalong. It’s not flashy or trying too hard — just this clean, modern four-star property that feels like someone actually thought about what travelers need. The lobby has this calm, welcoming vibe that honestly made me exhale after a long day of exploring Phuket. You know what struck me most? The staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests, not just going through the motions.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about Chalong — it’s where you want to be if you’re serious about experiencing Phuket beyond the tourist crowds. The Blue Mavi Hotel sits right in what locals consider the best part of the area, and I can see why couples rate the location so highly. You’re close enough to Chalong Pier that you can easily catch boats to the islands, but far enough from the main road that you actually get some peace. The Soi Ta-ied location means you’re in a proper neighborhood where you’ll see Thai families going about their daily lives, which I found refreshing after some of the more touristy areas.
The Room Experience
The rooms here strike that perfect balance between comfort and style without feeling sterile. Mine had this nice contemporary design with touches that felt distinctly Thai — not the over-the-top decorative stuff you sometimes see, but subtle nods to local culture. The air conditioning actually works properly (trust me, this matters in Phuket), and the bed was genuinely comfortable. What I appreciated most was the attention to practical details — good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets, and a bathroom that doesn’t make you feel like you’re in a cramped airplane lavatory.
Breakfast & Amenities
The breakfast buffet here is honestly better than it needs to be for a four-star hotel. They do both American classics and local options, so you can ease into Thai flavors or stick with familiar territory — I mean, sometimes you just want decent coffee and toast, right? The fact that they include free private parking is actually a big deal if you’re planning to rent a car and explore the island properly. It’s one of those things you don’t think about until you’re driving around Phuket Town looking for a place to park.
Why Guests Love It
What makes The Blue Mavi Hotel work is that it doesn’t try to be everything to everyone. Instead, it focuses on being really good at the fundamentals — comfortable rooms, helpful staff, solid location, and those little extras that make a difference. The high location scores aren’t just numbers on a website; they reflect the reality that you’re staying somewhere that gives you easy access to both island adventures and authentic local experiences. It’s the kind of place where you can have a proper Thai meal at a local restaurant within walking distance, then retreat to a well-appointed room that feels like a genuine respite.
Hotels in Phuket line cliffside jungles, private piers, and palm-lined bays.

The breakfast at the hotel was most disappointing we have encountered in our 1 month stay travelling round Thailand. Each morning we always look forward to breakfast but on a few mornings we were deciding weather or not to go down. We have stayed in 3 star Hotels, b & b by the sea & the breakfasts were amazing. It definitely needs improving with a much bigger choice. Coffe avsilable but i had to pay for my tea !!! There was also an unpleasant odoiur in our our room. We were out most of the day but when you came back, you could smell something.? The pool was amazing & the views. It was the best part. Would I stay here again or recommend . No. Not for the price we paid!!!'

The hotel building is beautiful, modern stylish design, everything is brand new. The room was also very comfy and clean. During the time we stayed there the construction was still unfinished, hence we could not enjoy all the facilities like pool and the gym yet, but they looked promising.
