The lobby has these worn leather chairs that look like they’ve seen some stories, and there’s usually jazz or soft rock playing in the background (not just Beatles, thankfully). Check-in was surprisingly smooth when I stayed – the staff actually seemed to know what they were doing, which isn’t always a given at places in this price range. My room was clean and had this quirky mix of vintage furniture and modern touches that shouldn’t have worked together but somehow did. The bathroom was small but functional, and the shower had decent pressure, which I always appreciate after a long day of exploring.

What I really liked was how quiet it gets at night – you’d think a music-themed place might attract the party crowd, but it doesn’t seem to. The walls aren’t paper-thin either, so you won’t be hearing your neighbors’ entire conversation. The breakfast situation is pretty basic – continental style with decent coffee and fresh pastries – but there’s something nice about eating in their little dining area with morning light streaming through these big windows. I mean, I’ve definitely stayed at pricier places with worse coffee, so there’s that. The location works well too – you’re not right in the thick of tourist central, but you’re close enough to walk to the main spots without feeling like you need a cab every time you want to leave. There’s street parking nearby, though it can get tight on weekends. Overall, it’s one of those places that just feels right – not trying too hard to impress, but delivering on the basics with a bit of personality thrown in.

  Quiet location, not touristy, peaceful. Close to everywhere if you need or stay in the peaceful quietness.

  The chalets are cleverly hidden in a lush mini jungle recreated. If you want peace and serenity look no further. There are no shops or ATM nearby but by walking 10 to 15 minutes you will find a few seafood restaurants. I highly recommend

  The place was amazing and I wish we had spent more time here and less time in
  Bangkok. It was very relaxing and the facilities were beautiful. The staff was great. The lady we checked in with was incredibly accommodating and even invited us go boxing with her. The room was clean when we arrived, and the staff went above and beyond cleaning it during our stay. The room was large and had a great view of the lagoon. We used two of the bikes available to easily go around town.

  Quiet location away from tourists, super spacious rooMS, AMAZING hosts Bovy, will help you with anything you need. Great shower, hair dryer and super strong new quiet AC. Had kettle and microwave in room also very handy and useful, big clean new fridge.
