You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to The Beach by Glitter House – honestly, the name threw me off a bit. But this three-star spot completely won me over, and I get why it’s sitting at a 9.2 rating. Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you upfront.

The whole vibe here is refreshingly unpretentious. I mean, sure, it’s not going to blow you away with marble lobbies or infinity pools, but there’s something really genuine about how they run things. The staff actually remembers your name after day one (rare these days), and they’ll give you the real scoop on where to grab the best local food – not just the touristy spots everyone else recommends. The rooms have this comfortable, lived-in feeling without being worn down, if that makes sense. Clean white linens, decent water pressure, and windows that actually open so you can hear the ocean at night. The air conditioning works when you need it, but honestly, the sea breeze does most of the work.

What really sets this place apart is the attention to those little details that matter when you’re trying to unwind. The beach access is genuinely private – not like those “private” beaches where you’re still elbow-to-elbow with strangers. Early mornings, you’ll practically have the whole stretch to yourself, and I spent more time than I care to admit just watching the sunrise with a cup of their surprisingly good coffee. The sunset views from the common area are pretty spectacular too, though it gets busier then. Parking is actually free and easy, which saved me the headache of hunting for spots on the street. Check-in was smooth – none of that “your room isn’t ready until 4 PM” nonsense. They had me settled in by noon, which meant more beach time. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty in some rooms, but honestly? That forced digital detox might be exactly what you need. This isn’t the kind of place where you’ll be glued to your phone anyway – there’s something about the rhythm of the waves and the laid-back atmosphere that just makes you want to actually relax for once.

  Amazing apartment to stay close to Kata beach, just 4 min walking distance to Kata night market, 14 min to Kata beach.
  The area is a bit off to the main street so we slept very well here.
  Great king size bed, very comfy!

  We were upgraded and stayed in the The Beach Heights building. The apartment was fantastic, our balcony overlooked the pool which we didnt expect. Big and Kim were easy to deal with, perhaps a little hard to find at first, we had to get our driver to call them, but not everyone has phone access overseas. All sorted quickly and easy check in. Easy walking distance to the beach, supermarkets, restaurants, spas and the Kata Walking Markets. Local bus or tuk tuk close by to Old Town, Karon Beach, Bangalore Rd, Phuket town or Patong. We will definitely stay with these guys if we return to Kata, Phuket. Pool was lovely as well, two to choose from.

  Kew and her husband were lovely to deal with. Nothing was a problem. I arrived and found a provided umbrella was broken, within 15 minutes it was replaced. Such great service.
  
  The location in Kata was close to everything. The apartment was spotless and facilities and pool were awesome.

  The hosts were very friendly and gracious. The communication via email prior to arrival was very good. Reception/office is about two blocks away from the actual condo/hotel. Pool side has better views than the mountain view side, but mountain view side is therefore quieter. Microwave/cook top/fridge/freezer w ice maker are readily accessible within unit. Foodstore (MAKRO) is about 4 blocks away and numerous mini-marts also nearby as well as many restaurants. Beach was just a 10-15 minute walk away.

  Great location close to beach and night markets but not on main street so not a lot of noise. Hosts were very hepfull and communication with them was good.

  Good place for staying! Good location! Well equipped apartments!
  Very friendly staff! Always easy to contact with administrator in office. I also rent a car through the office and booked a tour to Similan Islands for very good price!
