I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to The Album Loft, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The name had me picturing some sort of music-themed place, maybe with vinyl records on the walls or something quirky like that. What I found instead was this surprisingly cozy three-star spot that feels more like staying at a friend’s well-designed apartment than a traditional hotel.

The loft-style rooms are actually what sold me on this place. You know how most budget-friendly hotels have that generic, cookie-cutter feel? Well, this one doesn’t. The ceilings are higher than you’d expect, and there’s this industrial-chic thing going on with exposed brick and metal fixtures that somehow doesn’t feel pretentious. I mean, it’s not luxury by any stretch – the bathroom could use some updating, and the air conditioning unit makes this weird humming sound around 3 AM – but there’s character here that you won’t find at those big chain places.

What really impressed me was how quiet it stays, even on weekends. I was prepared for typical city noise, but the way the building is positioned, you’re sort of tucked away from the main drag. The front desk staff actually knows your name after the first day, which is refreshing when you’re used to being just another room number. They’ve got this local coffee setup in the mornings that’s way better than it has any right to be – I’m talking locally roasted beans, not some generic hotel blend. Parking was easier than I anticipated too, though I’d still recommend getting there before evening when the nearby restaurants fill up. The whole experience feels authentic in a way that’s getting harder to find these days. Sure, it’s not going to blow you away with fancy amenities, but if you want somewhere that feels real and unpretentious, somewhere you can actually relax without breaking the bank, this place delivers on that promise.

  Nice size 1 bedroon appartment. Lovely friendly staff. 10 mins from Bangla Rd and beach. Located in a lively entertainment precinct with plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars.. Great swimming pool.

  Not bad seriously. The rooms and bed are confortable, air conditioner too. The girl from reception was so nice. But little expensive for what it is.

  I liked a lot about this place. The people at reception and the cleaners were always friendly and smiling. The room was clean, unlike a lot of other hotels there were no dodgy looking stains on the sheets, very happy about that.
