You know what caught me off guard about Tha-ruea Residence? The name literally means “boat house” in Thai, and once you see the place, it actually makes perfect sense. This three-star property has this really cool nautical vibe running through it – not in a cheesy theme park way, but more like someone who genuinely loves the water designed a place they’d want to stay.

I’ll be honest, when I first pulled up, I wasn’t expecting much from a mid-range spot, but the 8.4 rating it’s got is totally earned. The lobby has these weathered wood accents that remind me of old fishing boats, and there’s this subtle rope detailing everywhere that somehow doesn’t feel overdone. The staff genuinely seems to care – I mean, the front desk guy remembered my name the second day, which rarely happens anymore. My room was smaller than some chain hotels, sure, but it was thoughtfully laid out with built-in storage that actually worked for my stuff. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and I loved that they had blackout curtains that actually blocked light (you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong).

What really sold me on this place was the attention to those little things that matter when you’re traveling. The wifi was solid throughout – I could video call from my room without those annoying drops. The shower had proper water pressure, which honestly felt like a small miracle. And here’s something I really appreciated: they have this quiet policy after 10 PM that’s actually enforced, so I never had to deal with hallway noise keeping me up. The location works well if you don’t mind being a bit off the main tourist drag – it’s quieter, but you’re still close enough to get where you need to go without much hassle. There’s a little local coffee shop just a two-minute walk away that serves incredible Thai iced coffee, and the hotel staff will point you toward some fantastic street food spots that most tourists never find. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted somewhere comfortable and authentic without the tourist hotel markup.

  Amazing.The appartement is clean,nice view , there is a belt at the reception, and we came really late for the check in and the Honor wait us to gave us the key . We right to him during the day to tell us we will be late and all good. It was very nice to.stay.there, close to blue tree skatepark, thank you to the Honor he was very kind and nice .we really njoy this place
