What actually won me over was how genuine the whole operation feels. The staff here – and I mean this – actually seem to care about what they’re doing rather than just going through the motions. My room was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything worked properly, which honestly matters more than marble countertops when you’re trying to get a good night’s sleep. The beds are surprisingly decent for this price range, and the air conditioning actually keeps up with the heat, which isn’t always a given. I appreciated that the Wi-Fi was reliable throughout the property – I know that sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how many places still struggle with that.
The common areas have this laid-back vibe that makes it easy to strike up conversations with other travelers. There’s a nice outdoor space where people tend to gather in the evenings, and I found myself hanging out there way longer than I planned. The location puts you in a good position to explore without being right in the middle of all the tourist chaos – close enough to get where you need to go, but far enough out that you can actually relax when you come back. Parking was straightforward, which saved me the headache of circling around looking for a spot. I mean, look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but sometimes you want somewhere that feels more like a comfortable home base than a showpiece. The 7.6 rating makes sense to me – it’s solidly good at what it does without trying to be something it’s not.
