The rooms are pretty straightforward, nothing that’ll blow you away, but the beds are comfortable enough and the bathrooms work properly (trust me, I’ve stayed places where that’s not a given). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – you’re not dealing with paper-thin walls or street noise keeping you up until 2 AM.

Here’s the thing though – and this is probably why it sits at that 7.3 rating – it’s one of those places where the little details matter more than the flashy stuff. The WiFi actually works consistently, there’s always hot water (learned not to take that for granted), and they keep the common areas tidy without being obsessive about it. I noticed they had local newspapers in the lobby each morning, which sounds small but it’s those touches that show someone’s paying attention. The location isn’t in the absolute heart of everything, but honestly that worked in my favor because I could walk to the main attractions without being right in the middle of all the tourist chaos. Parking was straightforward too, which if you’ve ever tried to navigate some of these older areas with a rental car, you know that’s actually a pretty big deal. Would I call it luxurious? Absolutely not. But would I stay there again? Yeah, I probably would – sometimes you just want a place that does the basics really well without any pretense.
