But there’s something genuinely welcoming about this little three-star spot that caught me off guard. It sits in the Saiyuan area, which honestly feels like one of Phuket’s best-kept secrets if you’re trying to avoid the madness of Patong but still want decent beach access.

What really struck me was how the staff actually seemed to care – I mean, you can tell the difference between genuine hospitality and the rehearsed smile routine pretty quickly when you’ve stayed in enough places. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully laid out with these clean lines and pops of color that feel more authentic than the cookie-cutter resort aesthetic you see everywhere. The air conditioning works properly (which, let’s face it, is crucial), and I appreciated the little touches like decent water pressure in the shower and blackout curtains that actually block light. The pool area becomes this peaceful little oasis in the evenings – you’ll hear some street noise during the day since you’re not completely isolated, but it dies down after sunset.

Here’s what I really loved though – the location puts you within walking distance of some fantastic local spots that most tourists never find. There’s this incredible seafood place about ten minutes away where locals actually eat, and the beach at Nai Harn is close enough for morning walks without dealing with crowds. You’re also perfectly positioned to explore the southern part of the island without feeling like you need to plan a major expedition. The front desk staff knows the area inside and out, so don’t hesitate to ask for their recommendations – they steered me toward this amazing viewpoint that I never would have discovered on my own. Sure, it’s not a luxury resort with infinity pools and spa treatments, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. It’s clean, comfortable, and run by people who actually seem to enjoy what they’re doing, which honestly makes all the difference in the world.

  We (couple) really enjoyed our stay here for just over a week. Standard double room, about 1000 TBH/night booked on agoda from Dec. 2, 2024 – Dec. 11, 2024.
  Rooms are new, clean and comfortable.
  Good security and safe.
  The hotel is a little further from the action 100m from The Cult gym.
  The ladies running the hotel are wonderful ❤️ so kind & attentive while speaking English very well.
  We would stay here again.

  I was skeptical about staying here because it had no reviews before I booked my stay. I ended up wanting to extend my stay, but they were fully booked. It's a bit far from everything else but that's how I liked it. A 30-40 minute light jog will put you in proximity of some of the prettiest beaches you'll ever see. breathtaking, to say the least.
