First Impressions

Walking into Seaview Apartments – Karon Beach, you immediately get that “this is exactly what I was hoping for” feeling. It’s one of those places that actually delivers on its name — the seaview part isn’t just marketing speak. The four-star property sits right on Patak Road, which honestly couldn’t be better positioned if you’re looking to balance beach access with having real restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about the location — you’re literally a two-minute walk from Karon Beach, but you’re not stuck in that touristy bubble where everything costs twice as much. Karon itself is sort of the sweet spot between the chaos of Patong and the sleepiness of some other beaches. You know what really sold me though? The parking situation. They’ve got free private spots on-site, which if you’ve ever tried to park near a Thai beach during high season, you’ll understand why that’s actually a big deal.

The Apartment Experience

The apartment setup here is what makes this place special — you’re not just getting a hotel room, you’re getting actual space to spread out. Each unit comes with a proper kitchen, which means you can grab fresh fruit from the local market (there’s a great one about five minutes away) and actually enjoy it without eating it standing up in a tiny hotel room. The apartments are clean and well-maintained, though don’t expect cutting-edge design — it’s more about comfort and functionality.

Beach Life & Surroundings

Karon Beach itself is honestly one of my favorites on the island. The sand squeaks when you walk on it — I mean literally squeaks, which sounds weird but it’s actually a sign of how clean it is. The water’s usually pretty calm, and there’s enough space that you don’t feel like you’re lying on top of other tourists. From your apartment, you can actually see the water, and watching the sunset from your balcony with a cold Chang beer is… well, it’s pretty much exactly what you came to Thailand for.

Why Guests Love It

The 9.5 rating makes sense when you spend time here. Couples especially seem to get it — there’s something about having your own space but still being close to everything that just works for a romantic trip. You can cook breakfast together, spend the day at the beach, grab dinner at one of the local Thai places (try the som tam at the place with the blue awning — trust me), and still have somewhere quiet to retreat to. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place on the island, but it nails the basics so well that you end up not wanting to leave.

  This was an amazing apartment. Host, Gary is a very cool guy, helpful, responsive and solution seeking! We had no problems with the communication. The flat is very clean, 2ACs, balcony with an amazing view at the sunset and the sea. Well it is on the steep hill as many point out, but, it is possible to walk up and down. Of course depend on your health and possibilities, but there are steps as well which makes it a bit easier. There is also a garage, where you can park the car or a scooter. We used a car and it was very convenient. Taxi drivers are willing to take you up the hill as well, so I am not sure about comments telling differently. I guess that depend on what kind of person you are, and what kind of person is the taxi driver, but we had no problems during our stay, till we get the car.
  
  The bed is great, very firm, and I like that. There is a safe and lots and lots of space to place your stuff. Without AC it can get a bit hot during the night, but that again depend on the preferences (we had it turned off).
  
  The shower is quite huge, two – three people get there without any problems. As for the kitchen, all the utilities are there, except some tea or salt and pepper if someone needs, but just down the hill there is a German bakery where you can have a very cheap breakfast (Danish and a coffee).
  
  TV with Netflix and Youtube – very convenient for the evening chill.
  
  Overall the whole area is quiet and even the main road with tourist attractions is quite cozy. Unlike Patong. (but again, preferences..)
  
  The pool is very cool as well, quite deep + huuuuge jacuzzi.. great view. We spent there couple days as well, just chilling under the sun. I recommend go there!
  
  Karon beach itself is very cool and not so crowded! We liked very much Kata Noi as well. The others were more less OK, but these two were our favourites.

  You need to know that you have to pay extra for electricity (but it is written on booking.com). if you dont use ac the whole day (because you are gone anyway) it should Not Cost more Than 100 bhat per day. We payed 410 bhat for 7 Nights and we were using the ac every Night
