Sure, the TV was ancient and the WiFi got spotty during the evening rush (when everyone’s uploading their beach photos, I guess), but the air conditioning was ice cold and the hot water never ran out – which, trust me, matters more than you think after a day in the Thai sun.
What really won me over was the location. You’re walking distance from those local restaurants along Patak Road where the pad thai actually tastes like something, not the tourist version. There’s this little place called Krua Thara that serves the best green curry I had on the whole trip – locals eating there at lunch is always a good sign. The hotel’s about a ten-minute walk from the main Karon Circle area, so you get the convenience without the constant noise of tuk-tuks and tour groups. I actually slept really well there, which doesn’t always happen when you’re staying close to the action. The morning walk to the beach became part of my routine – past the little 7-Eleven (essential for water bottles and snacks), down the small side street where you’ll see locals heading to work on their scooters. It felt real, you know? Not like you’re stuck in some tourist bubble. For what you pay, especially if you’re not planning to spend much time in your room anyway, Seaside Haven Karon delivers exactly what it promises – a comfortable base that doesn’t try to be something it’s not.

L’appartement est vraiment bien, très clair, jolie vue, 2 grandes chambres avec leur sdb. Une cuisine bien équipée avec un lave linge. Un balcon avec des sièges et une table ainsi qu’un vieux BBQ. La salla à manger est très spacieuse aussi. La piscine du 6ème est top après une journée à la plage.
Les plages à moins de 15mn’ à pieds un vrai bonheur !! Pleins de restos et boutiques sur le chemin.Mihail from Norway (9/10)
