You know what, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Sea Hills Resort – honestly, three-star places can be hit or miss, and the name made it sound sort of generic. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The moment I walked into the lobby, there was this relaxed, unpretentious vibe that immediately put me at ease. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t, which I really appreciated after staying at too many places that promise the moon and deliver cardboard continental breakfast.

The rooms are what I’d call “comfortably lived-in” – clean and well-maintained, but with that slightly worn-around-the-edges charm that makes you feel like you can actually relax without worrying about touching anything. My room had this great view (well, if you leaned out the window just right), and the bed was surprisingly comfortable – I mean, I’ve stayed at fancier places where I tossed and turned all night. The shower pressure was actually decent too, which honestly matters more to me than thread count. What really won me over was the staff – they genuinely seemed to care about making sure guests were happy, not in that scripted hotel way, but like they actually wanted to help. The front desk guy recommended this little local spot for dinner that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being the highlight of my trip.

Look, Sea Hills Resort isn’t going to blow you away with luxury amenities or Instagram-worthy everything, but that’s kind of the point. It’s the type of place where you can unwind without breaking the bank, where the Wi-Fi actually works consistently (trust me, that matters), and where you’re not paying extra for a bunch of stuff you won’t use anyway. The 8.2 rating it has makes perfect sense – it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. If you’re looking for somewhere genuine to crash that won’t leave you questioning every charge on your credit card, this place gets it right. Plus, there’s something to be said for a hotel that doesn’t feel like every other chain property you’ve ever stayed at.

  Nice big airy rooms. Location good as central to beach and Patong centre but a quiet escape as on a hill. Lovely view from rooms. Owner and staff nice.

  The hotel is outside of noisy Patong streets so it's always calm atmosphere there. The service is perfect, they clean rooms daily, reception is always there to assist. Swimming pool is not large but it is not crowded, I was always comfortable there. The room was spacious, all rooms there have balcony and seaview (we were at 1st floor, with seaview, maybe only ground floor doesn't). They offer laundry services at reasonable prices. They provide drinking water. Thank you so much for everything, we had a nice stay!
