Sasimanta Overview
You know what struck me first about Sasimanta? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not – and honestly, that’s exactly what made my stay so memorable. This three-star gem has this unpretentious charm that immediately puts you at ease. The moment I walked through the lobby, I could tell this wasn’t going to be your typical cookie-cutter hotel experience.
The rooms are thoughtfully designed without being fussy about it. I mean, you’re not getting marble bathrooms or Egyptian cotton sheets, but everything feels clean and well-maintained in that “someone actually cares about this place” kind of way. The bedding was surprisingly comfortable – I actually slept better here than I have at some much pricier hotels. What really caught my attention were the little touches: decent water pressure in the shower (you’d be amazed how rare that can be), proper blackout curtains that actually work, and air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a freight train. The Wi-Fi was solid too, which matters when you’re trying to upload photos or catch up on work.
But here’s the thing that really sets Sasimanta apart – the staff genuinely seems to enjoy what they’re doing. Check-in was smooth and friendly without that overly scripted politeness you get at chain hotels. When I asked about local restaurant recommendations, the front desk person actually pulled out their phone to show me photos of dishes they’d tried at nearby spots. That kind of personal touch makes such a difference, you know? The housekeeping was consistent throughout my stay, and I noticed they paid attention to details like restocking the coffee supplies daily and keeping towels properly fresh. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a guest rather than just another room number. With an 8.8 rating from other travelers, it’s clear I’m not the only one who appreciates this approach – that score reflects what you actually experience here, which is genuine hospitality without the inflated price tag.
Hotels in Phuket offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of Thailand’s largest island, with easy access to bustling markets, pristine beaches, and renowned attractions like James Bond Island.

Small hotel, good, quiet location close to bar street and beach. Safe – single traveller and local woman used the hotel. Kind owner/manager of the hotel, gave me hints how to save money (e.g. cheap transportation to the airport) and how not to be scammed. Family atmosphere.Balcony. perfect cleanness, comfortable, large beds (i prefer harder ones). Large wardrobes.
