Fair warning though: you’ll want to rent a scooter or grab taxis if you want to explore beyond the resort. The nearest town with decent restaurants and shops is about fifteen minutes away, and while the resort can arrange transport, it’s not exactly walkable. But honestly? After dealing with the chaos of Bangkok or the crowds in Patong, sometimes you want a place where the biggest decision is whether to read by the pool or on the beach.
