I mean, when you pull up to this five-star resort, there’s this sleek architectural thing happening that’s completely different from the typical tropical resort look you see everywhere else in Phuket.

The location in Laguna is honestly brilliant – you’re tucked away from the chaos of Patong but you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere either. What I really appreciated was how quiet the beach gets here, especially in the mornings when you can actually hear the waves instead of jet skis. The staff seem to genuinely get that travelers want options, so some days you can join the pool scene with its pretty lively atmosphere, and other days you can find these tucked-away spots where it feels like you have the place to yourself. The rooms have this clean, almost Japanese-influenced design that’s refreshing after seeing so many places try too hard with the whole “tropical paradise” décor thing. Actually, the bathrooms are what sold me – those rain showers and the way they’ve positioned everything so you get natural light but still feel private.

Here’s something I noticed that most people probably miss: the resort connects to the Laguna Golf Course, and even if you don’t golf, those evening walks along the edge are pretty spectacular when the light starts changing. The food situation is solid too, though honestly, you’ll want to venture out to Bang Tao Beach sometimes – there’s this local seafood spot about ten minutes away that the concierge might not mention but absolutely should. Check-in was smooth, none of that hovering-around-the-lobby-for-an-hour nonsense, and they actually seemed to care about what you wanted to do rather than just pushing their own activities. The pool area can get busy during Thai holidays, but there’s enough space that it never feels cramped. One small thing – the WiFi in some of the beachfront areas can be spotty, but honestly, that might be a feature rather than a bug depending on what kind of trip you’re after.

  Everything is excellent, Mr. Brooks provided good customer service, he explained and introduced the resort very well. Breakfast has a wide spread of varieties. Very comfortable bed and quiet environment. Very clean beach. Resort also provides free shuttle to neighborhood.
