Rosewood Phuket Overview
You know what hit me first when I pulled up to Rosewood Phuket? The silence. I mean, you’re still on Phuket, but this five-star resort sits on Emerald Bay on the quieter northwest coast, and honestly, it feels like you’ve escaped to some private island that just happens to be connected to the mainland.
The thing about this place – and I’ve stayed at my fair share of luxury resorts in Thailand – is how they’ve managed to make everything feel both grand and intimate at the same time. The pavilion-style villas are scattered across this hillside that rolls down to a crescent beach, and each one has these massive windows that frame the Andaman Sea like living artwork. I stayed in one of the beachfront pool villas (splurge-worthy if you can swing it), and waking up to that view never got old, even after five days. The infinity pool in your villa literally seems to spill into the ocean – it’s one of those Instagram moments that actually lives up to the hype in person. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details that matter when you’re trying to unwind. The staff remembers your name and your coffee order, the beach isn’t packed with rows of loungers, and there’s this gorgeous spa built into the hillside that uses local ingredients in their treatments. The restaurants are solid too – Ta Khai serves Thai food that’s refined but not pretentious, and Red Sauce does Italian with fresh seafood that makes sense for the setting.
Here’s the practical stuff: it’s about 45 minutes from the airport, and while that might seem far, you’ll thank yourself for the distance once you’re there. The resort runs a shuttle to nearby Nai Thon Beach if you want to explore, but honestly, most people barely leave the property. Peak season gets busy (and pricey), but even then it never feels crowded because of how spread out everything is. The only minor downside? If you’re looking for nightlife or shopping, this isn’t your spot – it’s really designed for people who want to disconnect and recharge. But if that sounds appealing, and you don’t mind paying for that level of serenity and service, this place delivers on what it promises. It’s the kind of resort where you actually use the “do not disturb” sign because you’re genuinely content just being there.

Amazing place with great facilities, stylish designer rooms. Staff attentive to details and very helpful. Resort is full of small details that make the stay special – fruits in the room, complimentary small refreshers served at the swimming pool area periodically, impeccable cleanliness. Alessandro was of great hospitality, took us to the swimming pool area and offered drinks while we were waiting for the check-in – great touch and amazing service. Overall – kudos to the Team, I am looking forward to be back. Don’t even mention how beautiful the site is.

The hotel is absolutely stunning and nestled in the mountain cliff area away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket, which worked for us. The staff were so attentive and very friendly. The room is also beautifully decorated and very spacious. The bathroom and dressing area is very large! The food was fantastic, the Thai restaurant is a must, and we did the cooking class, which is an amazing experience. They also gave us a goody bag, which was such a lovely touch. Overall 10/10 experience.

Breakfast was à la carte from the menu, and it was beautiful, elegant, and exceptional in every detail. The service was absolutely outstanding, with friendly and kind staff. My family and I truly enjoyed the experience.
Artashes from Armenia (5/10)
