You know what really caught me off guard about Raya Beachloft? The lobby doesn’t try to impress you with marble and gold – instead, they’ve got these massive floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the ocean like living artwork. I mean, I’ve stayed at plenty of beachfront places, but this one actually gets it right. The moment you walk in, there’s this subtle sound of waves that isn’t piped-in music – it’s just the real thing drifting through cleverly positioned openings in the building design.

The rooms themselves feel like someone’s stylish beach house rather than your typical four-star hotel setup. I particularly loved how they’ve positioned the beds at an angle so you’re not staring straight at a wall when you wake up – you’re looking out at water. The bathrooms are honestly impressive too, with these deep soaking tubs that face the windows (don’t worry, there’s privacy glass that somehow still lets in all that gorgeous natural light). What I didn’t expect was how well they’ve handled the practical stuff – there’s actually decent water pressure in the shower, which you can’t take for granted at beachfront properties, and the air conditioning works without sounding like a freight train. The WiFi was solid throughout my stay, even when I was lounging on the terrace.

Speaking of the terrace – and this is where Raya Beachloft really shines – they’ve created these semi-private outdoor spaces that don’t feel like you’re on display for every other guest. The infinity pool area gets busy around mid-morning, but if you’re an early riser like me, you’ll have it mostly to yourself until about 9 AM. The beach access is straightforward, no trudging through a maze of other resorts to reach the sand. I’d say the stretch of beach here is quieter than some of the more popular spots, though you’ll still get the occasional vendor wandering by. The restaurant situation is pretty solid – their breakfast spread actually includes local specialties alongside the standard international fare, and the evening menu changes seasonally. I tried their grilled catch-of-the-day twice and wasn’t disappointed either time. One small thing that bugged me: the elevators can be slow during peak check-in hours, but honestly, that’s a minor gripe. The staff genuinely seems to know the area well – they pointed me toward a local fish market I never would have found otherwise, and their restaurant recommendations were spot-on rather than the usual tourist traps.

  The host was amazing. She helped us to book the last minute a trip to Similan island. She even sent us the massagist to our stay. The villa house is spacious and beautiful. The maid comes to every day to clean the house.

  THe property was beautiful – right on the ocean just like the photos , the manager Jenny was very helpful, and responded immediately to every question we had. The daily housekeeping service was excellent. We had access to the Selena Serenity hotel facilities. We loved the Bee Gold massages up the street – best massages for $30 cdn. As well as a local bakery that offered great breakfasts and lunches.

  The view is stunning and fascinating, particularly watching a sunrise from the house is something that you will never forget.
  The location is not bad if you rent a car. In Phuket, everywhere is far from everywhere though.
  The host was so helpful and nice and did her best for us.

  the villa is really breathtaking, needs some repair (one window is broken and impossible to close, even technician could not fix it). The pool is great and decked terrace with sun beds. Villa is a private property but located in the resort so you can use main hotel’s pool, gym, restaurant and bar, which is really great.

  Dream place to stay during a vacation! It is a perfect place to stay away a bit from the center although you still have good access to beaches, the old town, and even islands such as coral island.
