Rabbitel Phuket Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Rabbitel Phuket, you immediately notice how they’ve managed to create something fresh in the heart of old Phuket Town. This three-star property sits right on Phangnga Road, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you’re looking to experience the real side of Phuket beyond the beach resorts. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe that feels welcoming without trying too hard — you know what I mean? It’s the kind of place where you can tell they’ve put thought into the details without breaking the bank.
The Heart of Old Town
Here’s the thing about staying on Phangnga Road — you’re literally in the middle of everything that makes Phuket Town special. Step outside and you’re surrounded by those gorgeous Sino-Portuguese shophouses, local coffee shops that actually serve decent coffee, and street food vendors who’ve been perfecting their recipes for decades. I mean, couples seem to get this location thing figured out pretty quickly (they rate it 8.7, which honestly makes sense). You can walk to the weekend markets, explore the old temples, or just wander around taking photos of the colorful buildings without dealing with any tourist bus crowds.
Your Room and Comfort
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star place — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Nothing fancy, but everything worked properly, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed. The air conditioning actually keeps the room cool (crucial in Thailand), and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. What I appreciated most was how quiet it stayed at night, despite being right in town. The Wi-Fi was solid too, which matters when you’re trying to plan your next day’s adventures or upload those inevitable food photos.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast here is American-style, which might sound a bit odd in Thailand, but it actually works well. Sometimes you just want familiar food to start your day, especially if you’ve been eating spicy Thai food for dinner every night (not complaining, just saying). The restaurant area is bright and airy, and the staff keeps everything well-stocked. Plus, there’s something to be said for having a reliable breakfast when you’re planning to spend the day exploring — it gives you a good foundation before you dive into all that amazing street food later.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets Rabbitel Phuket apart is how it balances practicality with personality. The free parking is genuinely helpful if you’re planning to rent a scooter or car to explore the island — and trust me, having a secure place to leave your vehicle in the middle of town is worth its weight in gold. The staff seems to actually care about helping guests figure out the area, and the 8.3 rating reflects that attention to detail. It’s not trying to be an upscale resort, and that’s exactly why it works so well for travelers who want to experience authentic Phuket Town without sacrificing comfort.
Best hotels in Phuket range from luxurious beachfront resorts with private pool villas to boutique hotels in historic Phuket Town and elegant properties overlooking Patong Beach and Kata Beach.

Reviews of Rabbitel Phuket
Amy from United Kingdom (9/10)
This is a very simple, laid back hostel.
My little dorm nook was comfortable and came with a lock box (they provide the key, no need for a padlock), a light, and 2 charging points, and a hanger.
The staff were very nice and allowed me to check in early.
All snacks, drinks, water etc are fairly priced.
Toilets and showers are clean and I never had any issues with availability when I needed them.
Location is literally opposite bus terminal 1 and I was nervous about noise, but I never heard the buses at all and as it's set back from the main road, it was generally very quiet.
It's also a 10 minute walk from the old town and maybe 5 minutes to the local Phuket market.Ester from Germany (7/10)
The bunks were great with loads of space to fit your luggage in with you. There was also tea and coffee making facilities available downstairs.
