The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable — nothing revolutionary, but everything you actually need for a good night’s sleep. The air conditioning works well, which is crucial in this climate, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable for a place in this price range. What I appreciated most was the attention to small details — decent water pressure in the shower, proper blackout curtains, and enough electrical outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your devices. The thoughtful amenities throughout make a genuine difference.

They pointed me toward some local restaurant spots that I never would have found on my own — places where you’re sitting next to Thai families rather than tour groups. Being in Talad Yai puts you right in the thick of authentic local life, and you can walk to the fresh market in the morning to see how the town really operates. The neighborhood truly captures the essence of genuine Phuket.

  This hotel is in an amazing location within walking distance from pretty much anything you could want to do in the old town.
  
  Great restaurants and cafes within a few minute walk away. Spots nearby for currency exchange and ATMs. The hotel also acts as a bar at night and has a restaurant on the rooftop too which was cool. We didn't venture up but could hear fireworks being set off for new years day!
  
  Note Phuket Old Town is a 45 minute drive from the airport, so be sure to book your ride in advance if you want a decent deal (we booked it through Booking.com and everything went exactly as according to plan).
