Check-in was smooth, and they actually remembered my name by day two, which doesn’t happen at the massive chain places down the road.

The rooms are clean and functional – nothing Instagram-worthy, but everything works. The AC is strong (crucial in that humidity), hot water is reliable, and the beds are actually comfortable. I’ve stayed at fancier places where the shower barely worked, so I don’t take these basics for granted anymore. The pool area is where this place really shines though. It’s small but well-maintained, and there’s usually space to actually swim rather than just wade between other guests. The whole vibe is pretty relaxed – you get a mix of couples and solo travelers, mostly people who did their homework and found this spot rather than just booking the first thing that popped up. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets in the evenings. You can sit by the pool with a beer from the 7-Eleven next door and actually have a conversation without shouting. The resort doesn’t try to be something it’s not – no fancy spa treatments or overpriced restaurant – but they’ve nailed the essentials. For the price point, especially if you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring the island anyway, it’s honestly a smart choice. Just don’t expect turndown service or a concierge who can get you into exclusive beach clubs, but if you want a solid base that won’t eat up half your travel budget, this place delivers.
