The villa itself is actually much more spacious than the photos suggest – and I’ve stayed in enough places where it’s the opposite, so that was a pleasant shock. Location-wise, this four-star spot really nails it. Rawai Beach isn’t your typical crowded tourist beach – it’s more of a working fishing village vibe, which I actually prefer. You’ll see longtail boats coming and going, and the seafood restaurants right on the beach serve some of the freshest fish I’ve had in Thailand (and that’s saying something). The villa’s tucked into a quiet residential street, so you don’t get the noise from the main road, but you can still walk to those beachfront restaurants in flip-flops. If you want the party scene, Patong’s about twenty minutes by taxi, but honestly, after a day there, you’ll appreciate coming back to this peaceful setup. The only minor thing – and it’s really minor – is that the WiFi can be a bit spotty in the back bedrooms, but the main living area and pool deck have solid connection. Check-in was smooth too; the property manager actually met us there and walked us through everything, including the best local spots for groceries and where to get the cheapest taxi to the airport. It’s those little touches that make a place memorable, you know?
