You know what struck me first about Prima Villas Karon Phuket? It’s tucked away just far enough from the main Karon Beach road that you actually get some peace and quiet, but close enough that you’re not stuck taking expensive tuk-tuks everywhere. I mean, this four-star place really gets the balance right between accessibility and tranquility.

The villas themselves are honestly bigger than I expected – and I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Phuket over the years. Each one comes with its own little pool, which sounds fancy but actually makes perfect sense when you realize how nice it is to just slip into the water without dealing with poolside crowds or having to claim a lounger at dawn. The interiors have that clean, modern Thai aesthetic without going overboard on the traditional touches (you know how some places can feel like they’re trying too hard). What really impressed me was the kitchen setup – it’s actually functional, not just for show. We ended up cooking breakfast a few times using stuff from the local market near Kata, which is maybe a 10-minute scooter ride away.

The location works really well if you’re planning to explore beyond just one beach. Karon Beach is an easy walk – maybe 800 meters through some quiet side streets – and it’s way less chaotic than Patong but still has decent restaurants and that big Tesco Lotus if you need supplies. The staff here actually seem to know the area well too, which isn’t always the case at resort-style places. They pointed us toward this little seafood spot down near the southern end of Karon that we never would’ve found otherwise. Honestly, with a 9.3 rating, I was expecting maybe some of that artificial perfection you get at big resorts, but it feels more… I don’t know, genuine? The kind of place where they remember your name after a couple days and don’t mind if you track a bit of sand through the lobby. The only minor thing – and this might actually be a plus depending on your perspective – is that it’s quiet here in the evenings. Like, really quiet. If you’re looking for nightlife, you’ll want to head toward Patong or at least central Karon, but if you want to actually hear the ocean and maybe some tropical birds instead of motorbikes and bar music, this hits the sweet spot perfectly.

  Ati is a great host. We enjoyed our stay to the maximum. Everything was perfect. The villa is absolutely great, spacious and the pool is really amazing. The whole neighborhood is very safe and friendly. Nothing was a problem for Ati at all. She organized a day trip for us at a great price, whenever we needed advice, she was there for us and helped us a lot with everything. Even after we checked out of the villa, she helped us recommend a barber in Kata beach. An unforgettable week for us. We highly recommend this place and everything. Ati, thank you very much for everything. You made our holiday very special.

  We stayed in villa 2/20 on the top, appreciated the view, the location. It is a quiet place, good for families. Plenty of space for everybody. Good for relaxing. Landlady was always helpful. 10min walk to street food stands, restaurants, massages and local life. What you need is there.

  Location wise its quite reasonable, about a 2 min walk to 7-11 and restaurants and about 6 mins to the beach. Its in a very quite residential / apartment complex on a street that has a guard at the end so very safe and secure. The apartment itself is over two floors with the bedrooms on the top and the living at the bottom.
  The pool is amazing and not heated so its VERY nice to cool off during a hot day. The electricity and water is included in the cost so that its a nice touch given more apartments in Phuket are pay for use.
  The beds themselves were very comfortable, not too hard, not too soft. The living area is large and the TV included netflix and a few other options so plenty to keep the family entertained.
  The Prima villa team were very nice and very accommodating with almost any request.
