I had this one front desk guy who drew me a hand-sketched map to this incredible local noodle shop that I never would’ve found otherwise – that’s the kind of personal touch you don’t get at the big chain places.

What really won me over was how the hotel feels like it’s actually part of the community rather than some tourist bubble. You’ll hear the sounds of real Phuket life – motorbikes putting along, street vendors calling out, kids playing in the distance – which honestly made me feel more connected to where I was traveling. The pool area becomes this little social hub in the evenings where you end up chatting with other travelers who clearly did their research and chose substance over flashy marketing. Sure, it’s not going to have the marble lobbies or infinity pools you see on Instagram, but it has something better – authenticity. And at the end of the day, when you’re calculating how much you saved by staying here versus some overpriced resort, you’ll realize you can afford way more adventures, better meals, and maybe even extend your trip a few extra days.   Good value for money. Staff was very helpful, assisted me to find taxi and a scooter for a good price. There are some free snacks for breakfast, otherwise food that you can order by menu is very tasty.
