Phuvaree Resort Overview
You know what struck me first about Phuvaree Resort? It’s not trying to be something it’s not. This four-star place has this refreshingly honest vibe – it feels like a proper resort without all the pretentious bells and whistles that sometimes make you feel like you need to dress up just to walk through the lobby.
I’ll be honest, the 7.3 rating actually undersells it a bit. I think some people go in expecting those over-the-top luxury resorts you see plastered all over Instagram, but Phuvaree is more about… well, just being really good at the basics. The rooms are spacious – and I mean actually spacious, not that “spacious for Thailand” thing where you can barely fit your suitcase. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about this stuff), and the air conditioning actually works properly, which trust me, matters more than you think when you’re dealing with that afternoon heat. The bathrooms are modern without being sterile, if that makes sense.
What I really appreciated was how the staff operates – they’re helpful without hovering, you know? Like, they’ll point you toward the best local spots without trying to sell you an overpriced tour package. The pool area is where this place really shines, actually. It’s got this relaxed afternoon vibe where you can hear the gentle hum of conversation mixed with the occasional splash, but it never gets that chaotic resort-pool madness. I spent way more time there than I planned, honestly. The poolside service is solid too – not lightning fast, but they get your order right and the drinks are properly cold. There’s something to be said for places that nail these simple things consistently. The resort grounds are well-maintained without feeling manicured to death, and there’s enough shade around the pool that you don’t have to fight for the covered spots. Parking was never an issue when I was there, which is a small miracle in some parts of Thailand. Check-in was smooth, though I’d suggest arriving after 3 PM if you can swing it – they seemed a bit harried when I showed up early once.

Had to weight out a few nights in Phuket. We was planning just one night. Decentish for £20. But not clean and missing any of them comforts that make a place more then a concrete building. If they could have saved by not fitting window they would have. Amazing lobby/reception area, that’s because the owner sits there. Rest very average

Possibility’s of an amazing hotel. Just missing that…. Somthing/Everything, that required to make a hotel comfy and homely. Cleaning slack, otherwise average
