You know what surprised me most about Phuket Riviera Villas Hotel? It’s actually got this understated charm that you don’t always find at the bigger resorts scattered around Phuket. I mean, sure, it’s a three-star place, so you’re not getting marble everything and butler service, but honestly – sometimes that’s exactly what you want.

The first thing I noticed pulling up was how quiet it feels, even though you’re still close enough to the action. The lobby has this sort of old-school Thai hospitality vibe going on, where the staff actually remembers your name after day two instead of just scanning your wristband like you’re inventory. The rooms are pretty solid – nothing fancy, but the air con works like a dream (crucial in that humidity), and the beds are actually comfortable, not those rock-hard mattresses some places think tourists deserve. I appreciated that they’ve got proper blackout curtains too, because let me tell you, when you’re trying to sleep off a long travel day or recover from exploring the night markets, you need that darkness.

What really won me over was the pool area during the quieter hours – early morning or late afternoon when the tour groups aren’t around. There’s something really peaceful about having your coffee there while the sun’s still gentle, watching the staff methodically clean the pool with those long nets. The restaurant serves decent Thai food that doesn’t feel dumbed down for Western palates, though I’ll be honest, the pad thai was a bit sweet for my taste. But their green curry? Actually pretty legitimate. The portions are generous too, which matters when you’re spending all day walking around temples or beaches and working up a real appetite. Parking was never an issue when I was there, which is more than I can say for some of the places closer to Patong where you’re circling blocks looking for a spot. The location gives you easy access to the beaches without being right in the middle of all that chaos – you can walk to the main strips when you want the energy, but retreat back to something that feels more… I don’t know, human-sized? It’s the kind of place where you might actually talk to other travelers at breakfast instead of everyone just staring at their phones, planning their next Instagram shot.

  All staff so friendly and kind . The whole.plave is really clean and they clean the rooms everyday and change the bedding every 3 days, sometimes more . The pool area is beautiful, so relaxing and the water always warm, surrounded by palm trees amd plants, so relaxing

  I booked this hotel because I was looking for a pet-friendly hotel in Rawai / Naiharn. Communication was fast and good during the booking process when I wanted information about the facilities I would find at the hotel. The check-in was fast, and the room was ready when I arrived there with my two cats and a family member. The room was a one-bedroom apartment, spotless, and exceptionally well furnished with plates and bowls, a new microwave and toaster, and everything needed for cooking. I was given bowls and a litter box for the cats, as requested. A small private garden was attached to the property. The property is very well maintained, there is a lovely swimming pool surrounded by a lush garden. Just outside the hotel there are several restaurants, bike rentals, cafes, a Tops, and a 7-Eleven. The beaches of Rawai and Naiharn are less than 10 minutes away, by motorbike. I'll go back to this property for sure.

  It was everything I needed! I work in Koh Phi Phi and going often in Phuket. The location is peaceful, far enough from tourist bars, not too far from the beach. Staff are very kind.

  I was staying for one night before moving on and the room offered all that i needed for this. Had a kitchen area also which was really handy. Appreciated the 12noon check out time so could enjoy the pool in the morning before heading off. Staff were friendly also 🙂
